The Story Behind India Carbon Market
India Carbon Market is built by Vansh Agarwal and Ansh Agarwal — co-founders of CarbonTrack. We are 17 years old, currently completing our Class 12 PCM studies in Aligarh, Uttar Pradesh, India.
We originally engineered the CarbonTrack SaaS platform to solve carbon compliance challenges for Indian factories. Under the newly legislated Carbon Credit Trading Scheme (CCTS), 490 major industrial installations must legally track and reduce their emissions starting FY 2025-26. But during our conversations with plant managers, we realized a second massive bottleneck: once these manufacturers successfully out-perform their targets and earn credits, there was no open, transparent marketplace to list and monetize them.
That is why we built India Carbon Market. It gives producers a free, secure portal to list compliance certificates, CERs, and voluntary offsets, connecting them directly with international and domestic compliance buyers.
India Carbon Market is built in partnership with Hyalite Consulting LLC — the carbon trading entity of MagDrive. Hyalite brings international carbon markets expertise and cross-border credit sourcing capabilities.
India's compliance carbon market is projected to reach $405 billion by 2034. We believe that young Indian developers can build the critical infrastructure for this transition. We are building it right now — from Aligarh, with zero venture funding, at 17 years of age.
